04The Machine of Eternity

Swipe or ◀ ▶ – gear by gear to the last one

This machine has been running since the Big Bang. Each gear turns the next one, but six times slower. The first completes a turn in three seconds, the second in twenty, the third in two minutes. It gets slower from gear to gear, all the way to the last: it needs 13.8 billion years for a single turn, as long as the universe has existed. None of us will ever see it move, but it keeps turning anyway. The red mark shows how far.
